Figure for basic construction (no fancy flooring, windows, etc.), you’re looking at $200 to $250 a square foot in construction costs, depending on the cost of the materials. this includes a foundation/slab, framing, electrical, plumbing, and drywall. That leaves the painting and flooring to you.

I think that it really all depends on the builder that you use… I’m in NC, and the $$ figure that the person before me gave is QUITE high! It also depends on the quality of the materials that you use.
It honestly all goes back to the Materials that you want to use to build it. Bricks, concrete and cinderblocks all cost different prices…
ALSO… my husband and I just got done building a home, and it is about 3100 sq feet, and it works out to be around $140. per sq. ft.
