I have half tile and half sheet rock walls. I was thinking of carefully removing the tile and wall papering over the walls. Is this doable, so the wall paper is smooth?

My husband and I have a garage on our property that needs to be torn down or fixed. One wall is significantly damaged (termites and water). The contractor who gave us the estimate suggested that we would be better off starting over. My question is: Is it realistic to think that if we had a contractor remove the old building and prepare the slab we could build our own garage without a contractor? We are looking at a two story, two car garage with an upstairs work area. It would need to have electric and plumbing. My husband and I both have minimal do it yourself experience, but we both have families who are more experienced and are willing to help. Would we be biting off more than we can chew?

My Dad is a plumber, but he lives 5 hours away so he isn’t much help!
I want to change the taps and tap handles in my kitchen and in my bathroom to nicer more modern ones. Is it possible to this myself with my boyfriends help, or would it be wise for us to get a plumber to do it.
I am happy to attempt it, as long as it is not a hugely high level of difficulty. Our place is only about 10 years old if that makes any difference to the type of plumbing and taps we have.

I’m looking to do a complete renovation including redoing the electrical, plumbing, and moving around walls. I want to do all of the work myself with help from a few friends and am trying to figure out if there are any rules regarding what I can and cannot do. Thanks

When the plumbing in your house breaks,do you fix it yourself or do you call the plumber?
