Bathroom renovation - how to schedule?

I am (with much trepidation) co-ordinating my own bathroom renovation. I will be using skilled tradesmen but I just need some tips on how to get everything scheduled so it goes smoothly.

I need a list of items I will need to consider, preparing the budget, tasks to tick off, when to start which item.

I have the style and materials picked out, just need to get the project management under control.
We are pretty set on what we want done, and it should be pretty straight-forward. We need to demolish and re-install:
a) shower - current one was leaking and is no longer in use. It will be replaced with a new shower unit (floor, walls, glass)
b) bath - being removed and a new one put in its place
c) vanity and cupboards - being ripped out and moved to another area.
d) The toilet is a separate room and all that needs doing there is re-tiling
e) Shower and bath fixtures will remain almost in the same place. Only plumbing that needs to be moved is the pipes for the vanity basin.

Workplace bathroom problem?

At work i used to share a restroom with 2 other women and the occasional visitor. Now, the second bathroom has been demolished for renovations and there are now 6 females and 5 males. (single toilet and sink together, and only 6 ft from my desk) My problem: Not everyone is using the manners that they were taught. We have one person that everyday at 10 am goes in an takes care of business for 20 minutes or so and then sprays half a can of air freshener, and for the next 4 hours or so, i feel like choking, as does any one else who follows. People dont wash their hands, they finish the paper towels or toilet paper and dont put the next roll on, leave the toilet seat up, dont clean up after themselves if the make a mess on the toilet, splashe water everywhere….its bad!! So! My question is, what do i do? I have already made mention to the owner and he kind of laughed it off and said “we’ll have to work on that”! is there a polite way to handle this?
i understand taking 20 minutes….but everyday! i can set a clock by his bathroom habits! he leave immediatly afterward to do sales, why does he have to do it here!!
i understand a bathrooms purpose! i just feel that there are more appropriate times, places and ways of using a ahared facility

I am thinking about doing my own bathroom renovation, can anyone suggest some sites where I can go for inspiration? Sometimes I’m not the most creative when it comes to design.

I want to use peel and stick flooring in my bathroom as a cheap alternative to costly renovations and wondering if anyone could tell me about the quality of them. Will the steam from the shower cause them to shift or will they still stay firmly in place?

We have a 4 BD 2 BT ranch house.
I am interested in the average cost per sq ft of a mid level renovation to add a 20 x 20 family room, 10 by 12 foyer and a small bathroom w standard tub/shower. Location Fairfield County, CT.

I have half tile and half sheet rock walls. I was thinking of carefully removing the tile and wall papering over the walls. Is this doable, so the wall paper is smooth?

I’m trying to help renovate a really quaint house in the middle of a nice neighborhood. The house has 3 bedrooms, one bathroom [possibly 2, after renovation], a nice kitchen, and a dining room. There’s an outside utility room as well. I’ve got to choose colors and flooring…

What attracted you to your own home when you bought it? Any suggestions on color combinations that tend to be universally pleasing to a home-buyer?
Thanks!

We are moving to Ontario, in the Owen Sound area (within an hours radius from there) and are trying to decide whether to build or buy and then renovate. What would cost more…to build outright (including cost of land) or to buy and then do quite a few renovations…ie bedrooms, bathrooms, laundry room???? We want to do either out in the country side.
