SO What kind of sand do I use? How do I prepare it? Do I get substrate? (also what kind) and do I mix the substrate in with the sand or have a layer of substrate then a layer of sand on top? Also Does anyone know of a cheap do it yourself lighting kit? or solution? it would be 48″. I’ve found a few but they are FAR from cheap and I don’t really want to spend $100+ Like it would cost from petsmart.
