My husband and I have a garage on our property that needs to be torn down or fixed. One wall is significantly damaged (termites and water). The contractor who gave us the estimate suggested that we would be better off starting over. My question is: Is it realistic to think that if we had a contractor remove the old building and prepare the slab we could build our own garage without a contractor? We are looking at a two story, two car garage with an upstairs work area. It would need to have electric and plumbing. My husband and I both have minimal do it yourself experience, but we both have families who are more experienced and are willing to help. Would we be biting off more than we can chew?

Desperate to get some help before he finds out you switch on his computer to find SOS plumbing and end up causing a short circuit from the humidity which blows up his computer AND tv.

And finally when you go downstairs to apologise the shandelier in his living room drops onto his head from the pressure of the flooding upstairs.
